Menopause

A fact of life for most women is the onset of Menopause. Advanced Individualized Medicine of Naples offers holistic therapies to offset the impact of menopause – it is not a diagnosis individuals need to endure on their own. We are here to help.

The symptoms of menopause most commonly begin in your 40’s but can begin early as your 30’s, with most women experiencing menopause in their early-to-mid 50’s. Menopause occurs when a woman’s natural production of estrogen and progesterone slows down due to the aging process. Menopause begins with slowing or halting periods and is said to be complete when a woman completely stops having periods. Menopause causes an array of symptoms that can interfere with daily activities and take a toll on the quality of life. Symptoms can include abnormal or irregular periods; heavy periods; hot flashes; night sweats; irregular sleep; vaginal dryness, itching, or burning; mood changes, irritability, and depression; decreased sex drive; uncomfortable intercourse; and weight gain. Some women experience very few symptoms while others may experience severe symptoms that can interfere with normal activities and overall quality of life.

One of the most common and effective treatments is hormone replacement therapy (HRT) with bioidentical hormones. Advanced Individualized Medicine of Naples is proud to offer BioTE® Hormone Replacement Therapy to our female clients experiencing menopause. Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the hormones naturally produced by a woman’s body, so they’re processed and eliminated in the same manner, resulting in fewer side effects compared to traditional hormone replacement therapy.

Benefits of BioTE® Hormone Replacement Therapy include:

  • Regulating Abnormal, Irregular Periods or Heavy Periods.
  • Reduces Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, and Irregular Sleep.
  • Improves Vaginal Dryness, Itching, and Burning.
  • Helps Control Mood Changes, Irritability, and Depression.
  • Stops Problems Focusing and Concentrating.
  • Increases Sex Drive and Quality of Intercourse.

What is BioTE® Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Menopause cannot be cured, but the symptoms can be treated. Most women experience at least one or more of the above menopausal symptoms. BioTE® Hormone Replacement Therapy is an ideal holistic alternative to traditional treatment therapies. If you’re unsure whether or not you’ve started menopause, discuss your symptoms with our staff.
